…which explains my expanding waistline.
Well, the weather decided to drop a giant pile of sh… I mean ‘snow’ just before the NWA Comic Con, which led to it getting canceled. That’s two years in a row that I wasn’t able to attend. My nerd heart is broken. I was really looking forward to meeting Khary Payton, who would’ve been #3 on our ‘The Walking Dead’ list. We got to meet Ross Marquand at the OK Comic Con in ’23 and Seth Gilliam at the Spa-Con in ’24.
And it wasn’t just a little snow. It was nearly 9″ of snow. It hasn’t gotten that deep in many many years.

I can’t complain, though. The snow was beautiful. Plus with the hazardous road conditions, we ended up with Carson Wigglefoot for three whole days. I got in a LOT of grandpa time.
I’ve recently started working with my cousin and his wife to grow their business Armory Outfitters. That, coincidentally, has ignited a niche in my nerdiness that I didn’t even know I had. For instance, I’m now the proud owner of a G-Force 12 gauge shotgun. Not just for its practical application, but also because it looks like it’s straight out of a sci-fi movie.
I’ve also started tinkering with video editing, so now I’m on the TikTok like all the cool kids. I even made a sweet video featuring the Armory Outlaws Challenge Coin. It would’ve been even cooler if I’d remembered to remove my old-man-reading-glasses.
