And I’m getting grayer by the day.
I usually enjoy photoshopping images of me for the cover, but today’s image didn’t require as much work… and that bothers me. I mean, I know I’m getting older, but c’mon!
One of my goals this year was to learn videography and video editing, and it’s been a LOT of fun. This week, I get to go shoot video and shoot guns! That’s gonna be a blast (pun intended).
Check out this video I did for funsies… also, remind me to never use the word ‘funsies’ again… ever. I threw this together to showcase some of my astronomy photos AND (mostly) to test out my new editing software. I’m contemplating starting a Stoic Nerd video series… you know, something to do in all my spare time.

I have this problem… well, I’ve had this problem for a LONG time. I want to do so many things, and I want to do them all RIGHT NOW. But I can’t, so I end up weighing the pros and cons of which goal to pursue, which typically ends in me being indecisive. I get stuck in this limbo where no goal is pursued because I can’t make up my mind. It reminds me of a quote from Epictetus…
Curb your desire — don’t set your heart on so many things and you will get what you need.
I’m okay with paring down my list. The problem I run into is which ones to pursue and which ones to let go. Coming to terms with the fact I can’t do it all is hard. But what’s harder to deal with is realizing my indecision is wasting time, and I ain’t getting any younger. This reminds me of another quote from Gandalf…
