I have a collection.
Maybe a collection of problems.
Okay, so when it comes to all things Captain America, I tend to lose any measure of adult sensibility and become an impulsive child. And when Corkcicle came out with their Marvel line of drinkware, I just had to have them. Despite the fact that I already have enough water bottles, tumblers, and coffee cups.
So many coffee cups.
This week is lining up to be the usual compilation of deadlines, to-do’s, and whatnots. With two exceptions, of course.
First, I’m meeting with indy comic book creator, Colin Devonshire, about his process and what he learned creating his awesome story By the Time I Get to Dallas. I’m working on a story of my own based on a wild dream I had. It gives me goosebumps every time I work on it.
More details to come as I get them worked out.
Second, I’m finally taking time to have coffee with Sandwich Control for the first time this year. We used to do this about once a month, but life has a way of coffee-blocking friendships sometimes. Seriously, I haven’t seen him since our Nerd Grismas party. It’s been three months. No worries, though. We’re both classic introverts, so we can go months without connecting, then meetup like it’s only been a couple of days. I can’t wait to tell him about my comic book.
By the way, Nerd Grismas is my new favorite holiday tradition. We (the nerds) all pitch in and order mystery bundles from Rock Bottom Comics. We each grab a bundle and explore the contents with childlike wonder. It’s awesome.
Until next time, game on.
