The Randomness of Life

With all the hustle and bustle of life, my initial plan for posting once a week has kinda fallen by the wayside. So here’s a bunch of randomness that has occurred over the last few weeks.

I started replaying The Last of Us 2 — one of my favorite games of all time. I originally played it straight through when it was first released.

It was scary, intense, and so emotional. And when it was over, I was not okay.

…I was not okay.

And now I want to relive the trauma, because who doesn’t love re-experiencing scary-intense-sad moments as long as they’re fictional… right?!

Also, I’m pretty sure Ellie could kick my ass.

I’ve pared down my ‘unread’ stack. I’m halfway through Courage is Calling by Ryan Holiday.

I finally got a hard cover copy of Marcus Aurelius’ Meditations, a must-have for any student of Stoicism.

I also got around to picking up my stack of comics from Rock Bottom Books — my go-to nerd source. I’m finally getting ready to start Gideon Falls… which at this point, I’ve almost completely forgotten what it’s about. But who cares, because COMICS!

Other than the usual ensemble of work, deadlines, travel, and family obligations, life has been pretty vanilla. Nothing wrong with that, but there haven’t been any outdoor adventures to be had. The Arkansas summer is creeping in, which means heat and bugs. So my outdoor activities will most likely be limited to mowing the lawn and braving the water park.

Oh, and snow cones. Mmmm…..

I leave you with the gallery of other randomness.
